The redeemed have the authority to ‘say so’

Psalm 107:2 – “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”

God has given believers the power and authority to speak/confess words of abundant life over any circumstance or situation they may experience. John 10:10 KJV says, “ … I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The Greek definition for the word “confession” is the word “homologeo.” This word has several definitions that can help you to better understand what “confession” means. They are as follows:

“To speak the same thing”
“To come in agreement with”
“To unify with”
“To declare”

As believers, we must learn to confess the same thing God’s Word says about our circumstance or situation which we may be experiencing. It does not matter what we may think or feel about it, we must just find the appropriate word over the matter and believe. 2) Timothy 2:15 KJV says, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

We show ourselves approved unto God when we use the correct word over our circumstance or situation, by giving the Word of God an opportunity to make the right change to the matter we are experiencing.

The definition of the word “agreement” is “to be of the same opinion and mind.” By confessing God’s Word mixed with faith, it is powerful, unstoppable and awesome by itself.

The meaning of the word “unity” is “to come together and become united with one cause or purpose.” It is the place of consistent agreement. Confession is something we must do consistently; it’s not something we do every now and then, or when we feel like it. What better way to demonstrate our unity with God, as stated in John 15:7 KJV, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

To declare is, “to proclaim, pronounce, or make a declaration.” When we learn to make our confessions, effectively, we will decree and declare God’s Word with His authoritative power. As the words of a king must come to pass, our words, as kings (unto Jesus Christ, the Most High King) shall also come to pass.

When we speak the same thing God has spoken in His Word, we become of one mind and opinion with His Word. This brings our situations and circumstances in line with what He said, and brings us into unity, being consistent with power and authority.

Now, that you have been made aware to rightly confess the correct word over your experiences, you will no longer confess death and destruction over your life with negative words of doubt, fear and unbelief, but confess the abundant life of God.

John 1:12-13 KJV says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Lyrics:
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Jesus, the name above every other name
Jesus, the only one who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Jesus, the name above every other name
Jesus, the only one who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me.
